Inspired by a government report on the potential damage that would be caused by a 7.8 earthquake in Southern California, folks at the Institute for the Future and the Art Center College of Design made the game 'Aftershock' available online late last year. The now-defunct game sought -- through forums and simulations -- to grasp the social impact of such a disaster. 02/02/09
